Privacy Policy

MyLifeDock · Effective 28 October 2026

In short: MyLifeDock has no user accounts and no servers that store your vault. Your vault stays on your device, encrypted with a key that only your passphrase (or recovery key) can unlock. We cannot see, recover or reset your data.

1. Who we are

MyLifeDock ("we", "us") is a personal and family records vault for Android, iOS and Windows, provided by MyLifeDock, a sole proprietorship registered as an MSME in India, based in Hyderabad, India (business details). Contact: mylifedock@gmail.com.

2. Your vault data

3. Optional Google Drive backup

If you choose to back up to Google Drive, you sign in with Google and grant access to a hidden app-specific folder (drive.appdata scope). The backup file is encrypted on your device before upload, so Google cannot read it. On Android and iOS, Google sign-in also shares your basic profile and email address with the app to complete sign-in; on Windows you sign in through your web browser. We do not store or transmit your Google account details, and the app signs out of Google after each backup or restore. You can delete the backup at any time from your Google Drive settings ("Manage apps"). Google's use of data is governed by Google's privacy policy.

4. Purchases (MyLifeDock Pro)

Android and iOS apps: Pro is bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Google or Apple processes the payment under their own privacy policies; we do not receive your payment details, name or email. The app only asks the store which MyLifeDock Pro products your store account owns, on your device.

Prices: our website and the Windows app's Upgrade screen load current prices and offers from our pricing service (a Google Apps Script web app). This is a plain request for prices: no vault data or personal information is sent, though Google, which runs the service, receives your IP address as with any web request.

Windows app and website: Payments are processed by Razorpay. Razorpay collects the name, email address, phone number and payment details you enter on its checkout page. We receive the payment confirmation, your name, email address, amount and payment ID so we can email you a license key, and we keep a record of the order (including the license key, which contains your email address) for support, refunds and legal and tax obligations. We never receive your card or UPI credentials. Razorpay's use of data is governed by Razorpay's privacy policy.

5. Feedback and support

If you send feedback, the app opens your own email app with a pre-filled message to us. It may include optional diagnostics you can turn off (app version, platform, screen size, online status and time). It never includes vault contents or keys. We use your email only to reply.

6. What we do not do

7. Children and family profiles

The app is intended for adults. Family and child profiles are records that you, as the adult vault holder, choose to keep on your own device.

8. Retention and deletion

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the EU/UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold (purchase and support records) and to withdraw consent. Email us to exercise them. Because your vault never reaches us, we hold no vault data to access or delete.

10. Security

If you lose both your passphrase and your recovery key, your vault cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. Keep your recovery key safe and make regular encrypted backups.

11. Changes

We will update this page and its effective date if our practices change, and highlight significant changes in the app.
