Frequently asked
Where is my data stored?
Only on the device where you installed MyLifeDock, encrypted. If you choose Google Drive backup, Drive stores an encrypted backup file that only your passphrase can open.
What if I forget my passphrase?
Use the 64-character recovery key you saved when you created the vault. We cannot reset your passphrase because we never have your key.
Can I use it on my phone and my PC?
Yes. Each device has its own vault. Move or copy your vault with an encrypted backup file or Google Drive, then restore it on the other device.
Does it need the internet?
No. Everything works offline, including receipt scanning. The internet is only used for Google Drive backup and for buying Pro.
Can I keep records for my children and parents?
Yes. Add family members, and keep their documents, medical records and emergency kit separately, all in your vault.
Does Pro work on all my devices?
A licence key bought on this website works in the Windows, Android and iPhone apps. Pro bought in the Android app works on Android devices signed in to the same Google account, and Pro bought in the iPhone app works on Apple devices with the same Apple ID (use Restore purchases).
How do refunds work?
For purchases on this website, email us within 7 days for a full refund. Purchases made in the Android or iPhone app are refunded by Google or Apple under their policies.
